The ASI2600MM Pro uses Sony's latest back-illuminated IMX571 APS-C format native 16-bit ADC sensor. With an ultra-high 14-stop dynamic range, ultra-low readout noise of 1.0e, and innovative technology that eliminates amp glow, it has become one of the leading astrophotography cameras available today.

The ASI2600MM Duo combines imaging and guiding sensors in one compact camera body. Its main Sony IMX571 sensor features a native 16-bit ADC, 14-stop dynamic range, 3.76 μm square pixels, readout noise as low as 1.0e, and a full-well capacity of up to 73 ke. It also features zero amp glow.

The built-in guide sensor is the monochrome SC2210, a Type 1/1.8-inch sensor with excellent near-infrared (NIR) sensitivity. It measures 7.68 × 4.32 mm and features 4 μm × 4 μm pixels, a resolution of 1920 × 1080, and a full-well capacity of 8,780 electrons.

Stars near the corners of guide images may appear less round when the reducer's back-focus distance is not optimal. This is not caused by sensor tilt and does not affect normal operation.

Two-in-One Design

Thanks to its compact design, the ASI2600MM Duo requires only one USB cable for control, helping reduce cable clutter and simplify setup. With its integrated guide sensor, there is no need for a separate guide camera or off-axis guider (OAG).

Rear Tilt Adjustment (Optional)

The three rear adjustment points make sensor tilt correction easier without requiring you to remove the tilt plate from the camera.

Built-in Guide Sensor

The integrated SC2210 guide sensor, also used in the ASI220MM Mini, offers high sensitivity for accurate guiding. Its peak quantum efficiency (QE) reaches 92% at 500 nm, with readout noise as low as 0.6e. This next-generation guide sensor delivers excellent guiding performance for astrophotography.

Main Sensor

The Sony IMX571 monochrome sensor features an APS-C format with approximately 26 megapixels. It measures 23.5 × 15.7 mm, with a 28.3 mm diagonal. Its 3.76 μm square pixels provide a standard full-well capacity of approximately 50 ke, extendable to over 73 ke in Extended Full Well Mode.

Sony STARVIS Technology

The ASI2600MM Duo uses Sony STARVIS back-illuminated CMOS sensor technology to improve light sensitivity and reduce noise, helping produce high-quality astronomical images.

Native 16-Bit ADC

The native 16-bit analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) supports a dynamic range of up to 14 stops. This helps preserve subtle brightness differences, improve image contrast, and deliver smoother tonal transitions during astrophotography processing.

High-Speed Imaging

The ASI2600MM Duo supports a maximum frame rate of 15 frames per second (FPS) at full resolution in RAW 8 mode, offering fast data transfer for efficient imaging sessions.

Extended Full-Well Mode

When the gain is set to -25, the full-well capacity can be extended to over 73 ke, providing additional headroom for capturing bright signals.

USB 3.0 & 512 MB DDR3 Buffer

The camera features a USB 3.0 interface and a 512 MB DDR3 buffer for reliable, high-speed data transfer. Its zero-amp-glow circuitry eliminates the typical amplifier glow often seen in the corners of uncalibrated long-exposure images, including when imaging at high gain.

Quantum Efficiency (QE)

According to ZWO's published testing information, the peak quantum efficiency exceeds 91% for the ASI2600MM Duo, providing excellent sensitivity for capturing faint astronomical details.

Two-Stage TEC Cooling

The two-stage thermoelectric cooling (TEC) system can reduce the CMOS sensor temperature by approximately 30–35°C below ambient temperature under specified test conditions. This helps reduce dark current and sensor noise during long-exposure imaging.

Note: The stated temperature difference is measured at an ambient temperature of 30°C. Actual cooling performance may vary depending on ambient temperature, operating conditions, and cooling duration.

Anti-Dew Heater

An integrated polyimide heater surrounds the protective window to help prevent dew and frost from forming during imaging sessions. The heater consumes approximately 5 W and can be switched off through compatible imaging software to conserve battery power.

Power Supply Not Included: This cooled ZWO camera requires an external 12 V DC power supply rated at a minimum of 3 A to operate the TEC cooler. USB 3.0 connection alone is insufficient for normal cooled operation. Compatible power sources include ZWO's 12 V DC power supply, the DC output port on a compatible ASIAIR device, or an external battery. These power sources are not included with the camera.
